Some things go together like peanut butter + jelly; you + yours, Bert + Ernie and we’ve come to feel like the other half to The Lageret in Stoughton, WI with our mix of modern, vintage + industrial rentals. Its historic architecture, industrial brick walls and hardwood floors seem to play rather nicely with items in our rental collection. The following is a collection of images of some pieces and spaces that we’ve loved seeing together. FYI, cover image above was taken by Tim Fitch Photography and features our hanging wood arbor … Okay, onto the venue!
Your guests arrive! You may not be there to greet them, but give them a space to sign in or an element of your personalities. Below are some ideas we’ve seen at The Lageret to create an entrance. Our white washed buffet functions as a guest book table in the top image, while the middle image shows our slat wall rentals creating a welcome wall announcing the couple and the schedule of events. The final image at the entrance is a mini lounge. The size of The Lageret provides ample opportunities for those guest niceties we’ve mentioned before in our Lounge Design 101 post!
Thanks to the layout of The Lageret, there are lots of flexible options to provide your guests with many or mini seating areas. There is even a spot right off the dance floor and those five magical Edison bulbs are just waiting for a conversation to illuminate! Choose from MCM, industrial, casual or artisan crafted pieces from ALC rentals to engage those same elements in the very fabric of The Lageret. Formal furniture doesn’t mean that your guests will feel rigid, instead they’ll appreciate having a moment to catch up and talk shop before, during and after the party.
The Lageret has a sizable collection of their own tables + chairs that look great in the space. That being said, we have sent many of our table styles to the Lageret for use as head tables or sweetheart tables for the bridal party or just the couple. Whatever set up is right for you, we’ve got some ideas. Below our walnut hairpin tables paired with our tulip chair rentals to offset the head of the table. The hairpin tables were actually created with the Lageret in mind. They don’t compete, but harmonize the industrial elements. A long line of harvest tables is a great go to for head table purposes. These tables are made exclusively for A LA CRATE Rentals from reclaimed barn wood right here in Southern Wisconsin. There’s a little history present in the tops of each, and they all have unique surface quality due to their age and the wear from their lives prior to becoming a rental. Our 5-foot version of the harvest table makes for the perfect sweetheart table or even mixed in with the 8-foot versions to make a hybrid version of a head table. In any case, there are lots of options and one, we hope, will be just right for you.
Needless to say, we heart The Lageret. Below are some extras that we think of as icing on the cake. Opportunities for awesome floral focal points and signage galore! Hope you find these images helpful and informative!
